MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER – AUSTRALIAN STRING QUARTET
The Australian String Quartet (ASQ) has an exciting opportunity for a talented and experienced marketing and communications professional to join our Adelaide-based team as Marketing and Communications Manager.
For over 30 years, the Australian String Quartet (ASQ) has created unforgettable string quartet performances for national and international audiences. Dedicated to musical excellence with a distinctly Australian character, the ASQ’s purpose is to create chemistry and amplify intimacy through experiences that connect people with string quartet music. From our home base at the University of Adelaide, Elder Conservatorium of Music, the ASQ reaches out across Australia and the world to engage people with a dynamic program of performances, workshops, commissions and education projects.
A not-for-profit organisation, the ASQ is a nationally-recognised arts organisation with a valued network of private donors, foundations, corporate partners and supporters across Australia. The ASQ receives multi-year organisational funding from the Australia Council for the Arts and Arts South Australia and is generously supported by its Major Partner – The University of Adelaide, Elder Conservatorium of Music and its Instrument Partners – Ulrike Klein and UKARIA.
The ASQ team comprises the Quartet musicians – who each function as Co-Artistic Directors – and a small, tightly-knit administrative team, which includes seasonal interns and volunteers. The ASQ is governed by a highly-engaged, national board of directors which represents a significant resource to the organisation. The ASQ’s Business Strategy for 2016-2020 focuses on innovation, starting with the launch of a new digital platform to grow engagement and lead the ASQ into its fourth decade of music-making.
The Marketing and Communications Manager is responsible for the strategic development and delivery of the marketing, communication and digital initiatives to support the ASQ’s artistic and business strategy. The successful candidate will drive the delivery of the ASQ’s brand positioning and profile within the cultural community and commercial markets. Based at the ASQ’s Adelaide office, the Marketing and Communications Manager will report to the Chief Executive and work collaboratively with the administration team. As a creative professional, ideally with a passion for music, this person will provide marketing and communications expertise in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
This position offers an outstanding opportunity for a highly creative marketing and communications professional to play a pivotal role in developing opportunities to grow and engage new and diverse audiences nationally and internationally across the ASQ’s concert, festival, educational and digital platforms.
