The Australian String Quartet launches its digital streaming platform ASQ Live + On Demand, kicking off its online content service with a series of eight weekly webisodes, ASQ Live at UKARIA. The platform will be accessible prior to the first live stream.
More than just live-streamed concerts, the ASQ Live at UKARIA series mixes lifestyle programming and live-performance with splash of broadcasting excitement. Ever wondered what really happens in the wings before the performance begins? Here’s your backstage pass!
Hosted by the charismatic Johanna Allen and featuring a raft of influential guest makers and shakers including luthiers, entrepreneurs, chefs and street artists, the ASQ’s first major foray into the world of live streamed and on-demand content promises to be your perfect Sunday afternoon mixer.
Webisodes will be approx 45 minutes in duration and live-streamed / premiered at 3pm ACST

SERIES HOST JOHANNA ALLEN
Johanna Allen graduated with a Bachelor of Music Performance in classical voice (hons) and B.A Drama: Performance & Direction. In 2019/20 she was appearing as Grandma Georgina/ Mrs Gloop in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory across Australia. Prior to that, she won a Green Room Award for her performance as Charlotte in A Little Night Music Melbourne. Her list of performance credits also include the Adelaide Cabaret Festival, Melbourne Recital Centre, Sydney Theatre Company, Wicked Original Australian cast, and Opera Australia.
Johanna is a former principal artist for Opera Australia & Young Artist of State Opera of SA. As writer and performer, her musical play The Songs that Got Away has had sell out seasons across Australia and international festivals. She is an ABC radio presenter/producer and a proud Adelaide Festival Centre Walk of Fame recipient.

The ASQ Live + On Demand platform will be available prior to the first scheduled live-stream on Sunday 2 August.
