Australian String Quartet with William Barton

More than just an ordinary concert, Quartet & Country is a much loved project of the Australian String Quartet (ASQ) – one that seeks to find common ground between Western art music and the songlines of this country. A multi-faceted event comprising two concert programs of top Australian composers and a Q&A session, it celebrates new Australian music written and performed by some of the country’s leading voices including Lou Bennett and Stephen Pigram (4pm concert), William Barton (6pm concert) and the ASQ.

6pm Program
Peter Sculthorpe
String Quartet No.11 ‘Jabiru Dreaming’

Stephen King
New Work for String Quartet and Didjeridoo

Iain Grandage

Sarah Hopkins

William Barton

Following the 4pm concert and preceding the 6pm concert, join the artists for a Q&A in the Primrose Potter Salon. The Q&A is free however bookings are required. Click here for more information and to reserve your seat.
