We return to the Elder Hall Lunchtime Concert series with a program featuring two new works and a special collaboration with students of the Elder Conservatorium.
As Quartet-in-Residence at the University of Adelaide, we perform the World Premiere of a new work written by “whimsically inventive” (The Advertiser) composer, pianist, musical director and Elder Conservatorium’s Head of Jazz, Mark Simeon Ferguson, inspired by the very cute and very endangered Hooded Plover. Alongside this is also the World Premire of Perfume by Elder Conservatorium composition student Thomas Gray. This program also includes favourite works from Ibert and Shostakovich.
