We are thrilled to finally reunite with Australian recorder virtuoso Genevieve Lacey for this concert at UKARIA Cultural Centre after foiled plans to tour together in 2021.

Inspired by the breathtaking cave systems of Western Australia’s Margaret River region, Lachlan Skipworth’s new Quintet layers the rich, evocative tones of the bass recorder over a backdrop of digital sound to create a mysterious world of subterranean reverberations. Also on the program are the much–loved Re-Inventions—Elena Kats-Chernin’s joyful, effervescent takes on Bach’s two-part inventions. How beautiful to hear these two unique expressions of Australia, framed by sumptuous quartets by Beethoven and Verdi.
