Co-curated by Anne Cawrse and Belinda Gehlert, She Speaks is an Adelaide Symphony Orchestra initiative presented in partnership with the University of Adelaide’s Elder Conservatorium of Music that ignites the stage with the blazing contributions of women composers.

Shaw wrote Three Essays to shift your emotions, just as conversation helps shift our views. This vibrant performance will reveal the way passion and logic are sometimes at odds when people connect through words. Mendelssohn’s quartet adds a Romantic touch to our program, leading you towards enthralling music from shamisen virtuoso Noriko Tadano.
