First Concerts and Festivals for 2023

Florescence

WE ARE DELIGHTED TO SHARE OUR FIRST CONCERT AND FESTIVAL ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR 2023

As we draw closer to our 40th anniversary, the Australian String Quartet proudly continues its mission to create unique, intimate and thought-provoking live concert experiences. In 2023 we will be touring a wonderfully diverse repertoire that genuinely excites us. Our two tour programs, Utopias and Florescence, include music by Mozart, Haydn, Dvořák, Shostakovich, Purcell, Thomas Adès and Australian composer Justin Williams. Alongside this, our flagship festival offerings return—the Margaret River Weekend of Music, the New Zealand Festival of Music and our Dunkeld Festival of Music

Throughout the year, we will continue exploring Beethoven’s sublime late quartets and to champion Australian artists in new projects and commissions. Through our concerts, residencies and bespoke festivals across Australia and New Zealand, we have an exciting year of music in store for you.

Whether in the concert hall, in one of our intimate concert experiences or in the comfort of your living room, we invite you to join us in 2023.

We look forward to sharing incredible musical experiences with you in the new year.

Warm regards

Dale, Francesca, Christopher and Michael
Co-Artistic Directors, Australian String Quartet
