We are committed to an inclusive, welcoming environment that respects and values the contribution of all people regardless of ability, age or background. We acknowledge that one-in-five Australians (over four million people) live with some form of disability (1). Many of these people experience serious disadvantage in areas such as education, employment, and access to cultural events including the arts. We recognise that under Federal legislation, it is unlawful to discriminate against someone based on their disability or treat a person with a disability less favourably than a person who does not have a disability (2). We are committed to ensuring people with a disability can engage with the full range of our annual performance programs on offer and seek to encourage participation through the ongoing development and delivery of our AAP strategies. We liaise with venues to provide accessible seating options for our performances and endeavour to provide key information in a simple and accessible format.
