Australian Music Fund

Australian Music Fund

Established in 2017 in honour of the late Richard Divall AO OBE, the Australian String Quartet’s Richard Divall Australian Music Fund* (ASQ Australian Music Fund) seeks to directly support the commissioning, research, preservation, recording and performance of Australian music. The Australian String Quartet would like to acknowledge and sincerely thank the donors who contributed to the establishment of the Australian String Quartet Richard Divall Australian Music Fund in 2017. To date, the fund has supported:

  • The recording of works by Australian luminaries Paul Stanhope, William Barton and Joe Chindamo
  • The commissioning of new works by Kate Moore and Jack Symonds
  • The co-presentation of Quartet & Country works at the Melbourne Recital Centre

Coinciding with our 40th anniversary in 2025, the AMF has an ambition to raise money to support the ASQ to continue its significant legacy as a producer of Australian string quartet music for the next 40 years.

All donations will be directed via the Australian String Quartet Inc Public Fund to the Australian String Quartet’s Richard Divall Australian Music Fund (ASQ Australian Music Fund). Donations above $2 are tax deductible.
